Empty Bowls is a grassroots movement by artists and crafts people in cities and towns around the world to raise money for food related charities to care for and feed the hungry in their communities. The first ever LIFE Empty Bowls Event was a big hit in 2022, and plans are already underway to repeat it this year. For just $25, you can enjoy a meal and take home a beautiful handmade pottery bowl donated from Whistle Shop Clay Works and other local artists.
As last year, the event will be supported by local restaurants who generously donate soup, bread, and desserts while other businesses and the community help by providing raffle baskets and supplies. We are very thankful to our partners who donated to the event last year which raised more than $14,000 for LIFE and was also an eco-friendly event; we recycled almost 28 pounds of trash and composted 3.5 pounds of bowls.
You won’t want to miss it, so save the date – October 14th! Two seatings will be offered, 11:00-12:30 and 1:00-2:30 at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Information on how/where to purchase tickets will be coming your way soon! If you are interested in being a donor, please contact emptybowls@lifefoodpantry.org
