Donor Spotlight: Kids!

Think you need a big bank account to make a big difference? Nope! In fact, you don’t even have to be an adult. Some of our most active donors are kids.

During the past month, two young men celebrating their Bar Mitzvahs commemorated their rites of passage by earning money to purchase in-demand items to fill our shelves. Thank you, Peyton and Levi!

Enzo, who celebrated his seventh birthday in March, requested that friends and family gift him nonperishable food items instead of presents. He is pictured with his haul, all of which he gave to LIFE.

These selfless kids are proof that our youngest community members are making a big impact.

LIFE Food Pantry Competes in 2025 Cincinnati Gives Campaign

This year, LIFE Food Pantry is once again a proud participant in Cincinnati Magazine’s Cincinnati Gives Campaign! Join us as we go head-to-head with other nonprofits across the tri-state in a friendly competition to raise the most funds for our cause — while shining a light on the often-overlooked epidemic of suburban poverty.

Starting in early December, you can make your Giving Tuesday and year-end donations to LIFE Food Pantry using our Cincinnati Gives profile. Each day, we’ll compete for cash prizes and bonus opportunities and of course, community bragging rights!

Keep up with our progress on the Cincinnati Gives leaderboard and help us show the tri-state what our community can achieve when we rally together! Be sure to follow LIFE Food Pantry on Facebook for exciting updates and chances to win incredible prizes throughout this magical season.

Every cent of of your donation through Cincinnati Gives will go directly to serving the people we support. We raised almost $22,000 in 2024 and want to beat that amount in 2025!

While we gladly accept checks, we kindly ask — just this once — that you please donate through our Cincinnati Gives profile so we can maximize your impact and compete for additional prize money to serve even more families in need.

Help LIFE Food Pantry Pack Backpacks for the 2025-2026 School Year

We collect school supplies year round for back-to-School time. We’re gearing up to provide students everything they need for a successful school year — and we need your help.

Students who are registered at the pantry will receive a backpack filled with grade-appropriate supplies, socks and underwear, a spirit-wear shirt, and essential personal-care items (toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, etc.). We’ll distribute the backpacks during the first two weeks of August.

We set up more than 300 students for success last year. This year, we expect more as we continue welcoming new families to LIFE Food Pantry.

How you can help

We’re asking for donations of:

  • Backpacks filled with supplies (we’ll provide a supply list).
  • Individual school supplies.
  • Personal-care items.
  • New socks and underwear.
