Making a difference
Support your community by assisting families and food distribution. Volunteers are essential to creating a welcoming and efficient experience for those we serve. Several volunteer roles are available, and they’re all important to our success.
NEW SOFTWARE!!! We have moved to a new volunteer sign up system called Bloomerang Volunteer. Please go to this link to create your account and sign up for pantry shifts. Need help creating your account? Here is a step by step guide and the link to the Bloomerang YouTube page with help videos.
Volunteers can help with the following types of opportunities:
- Client Shopping Experience – shop with client who come to the pantry
- Back Room – help unload, sort, date check and stock donations
- Store Donations pick ups – help pick up donations from Kroger, Meijer, Walmart and Costco. MUST have a truck or large SUV to do store pickups.
- FreeStore Delivery – we get a large delivery every Friday morning from the FreeStore. Help is needed to unload it, check it and put it away
- Food Drive Donations – help us sort, date check and stock donations from food drives
Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. There is a shift on Saturday mornings that are specific to High School students.
We recommend attending a New Volunteer Information Session before you sign up for a shift.
