Our purpose and history

LIFE Food Pantry, established in 1988, serves those facing food insecurity and financial emergencies in the Loveland (45140 ZIP Code) area.

We have adapted over the years to better meet people’s needs, including relocating twice into progressively larger spaces and changing to a choice pantry operating model to offer people the dignity to select their own food.

Our current location, at 677 Loveland Madeira Rd. in Shoppers Haven, has everything under one roof:

• An indoor waiting area.
• A private area for discussions about financial assistance.
• A guided shopping experience for those who need food.
• A private working area for staff and volunteers to receive and store food donations, manage inventory, and more.

LIFE Food Pantry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. We are grateful for the support we receive from individual donors and volunteers, local businesses and schools, congregations and faith-based organizations in the area, and numerous Loveland neighborhoods.
