Volunteer Hours Available for Teens

brosenfield · June 24, 2025 ·

Hey, teens! Do you need volunteer hours? Do you want to build your resume for college, clubs, and honors societies? Do you have a special talent that the world just NEEDS to see? If so, consider volunteering for the LIFE Food Pantry this summer!

We can provide you with tasks to complete at the pantry or you can design your own project as your schedule allows — it’s up to you! Run your own food drive, throw your own fundraiser, write for our newsletter, create a video to promote the pantry, or use your photography skills to capture a pantry event. There are no limits to what you can do!

Sound like the best volunteer gig ever? IT IS! If you want in on this opportunity (and who wouldn’t?) contact us at 513-583-8222 or sign up online.

We hope to see you soon!

Current Needs: Kid-Friendly Items for Summer

brosenfield · May 16, 2025 ·

Many children in our community lose access over the summer to the free breakfasts and lunches they depend on during the school year. This situation is a serious burden on families that may already be struggling.

That’s why we’re focusing on collecting kid-friendly food items right now, like mac and cheese, peanut butter, granola bars, single-serve fruit cups, cereal, and shelf-stable milk.

These simple, nutritious foods go a long way to help parents ensure their children stay healthy and fed throughout the summer months.

You can make a difference. Every item you donate brings comfort, nourishment, and relief to a local family. Let’s work together to fill the gap and keep kids from going hungry when school cafeterias close.

LIFE Student Programs Celebrate Record Successes

brosenfield · May 16, 2025 ·

LIFE Food Pantry’s Weekend Bag and Tiger Pantry programs served more than 140 students each week this school year — a record number!

Weekend Bags (pre-k to 6th grade) and the Tiger Pantry (grades 7-12) provide food for Loveland students who may otherwise go hungry during weekends and breaks.

We’re grateful to Betsey Shanahan and Elizabeth Wenger for their leadership and to Sycamore Presbyterian Church for their partnership. Special thanks to the teams, troops, families, and businesses that contributed — and to dedicated volunteers Meredith, Eric, Susan, Diane, and Tracy for making this program a success.

If you’re interested in helping out or would like to learn more, please contact us.

Host a Food Drive to Help Us Restock

brosenfield · May 16, 2025 ·

As summer approaches, we typically see a dip in donations — but the need remains steady. Food drives are a powerful way to keep our shelves full and our community supported.

Whether it’s your neighborhood, workplace, congregation, or sports team, hosting a food drive is simple and impactful.

If you’re interested in organizing a food drive, please contact Emily at fooddrives.nospam@nospam.lifefoodpantry.org. She will provide everything you need to get started!

Donor Spotlight: Kids!

brosenfield · April 7, 2025 ·

Think you need a big bank account to make a big difference? Nope! In fact, you don’t even have to be an adult. Some of our most active donors are kids.

During the past month, two young men celebrating their Bar Mitzvahs commemorated their rites of passage by earning money to purchase in-demand items to fill our shelves. Thank you, Peyton and Levi!

Enzo, who celebrated his seventh birthday in March, requested that friends and family gift him nonperishable food items instead of presents. He is pictured with his haul, all of which he gave to LIFE.

These selfless kids are proof that our youngest community members are making a big impact.
